Our Family Vacation: Part II - Williamsburg

Williamsburg

The capital building

This was really neat, it was like a arch of trees grown together.
Williamsburg was SO huge!! You can't possibly see it all in one day!!

I thought this little hen was cute.=)

By the way, our first president, George Washington, slept in this room.
Don't you love the shoes in this closet?
Isn't this horse gorgeous?
A fencing match (sorry this picture isn't very clear)

A little reenactment of the reading of the Declaration of Independence.

We visited an arts museam and got to hear someone playing a harpsichord.

I love this painting!=)

Well, that is it for now.
Have a wonderful day!

Our Family Vacation: Part I - Berkely Plantaion

Welcome to Williamsburg, Berkley Plantation, Jamestown, and Yorktown!
Take a step back in time and experience life in the 1700-1800s!

Berkley Plantation

 I loved all the beautiful, old buildings!

We took a walk in the plantation gardens.
Thus ends Berkely Plantation

Don't go away! There is more to come!

Deep Sea ADVENTURE

The rock of a boat, the wind in your face, and the smell of fish and salt water - what could be better? Well, for some people a lot
but for me - well it was great! The getting up at 1:00 AM and only catching about 1 and 1/2 hours of sleep part wasn't all that great, though. Last Saturday our youth group went deep sea fishing. I think most of us had fun, though a few people did get sick. We were on the ocean from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Here are a few pictures from our adventure.

A group picture of the youth that went along.

I don't actually have a whole picture of our boat.

I don't know what the funny faces were about...
A few scenic pictures

Brrr! It was SO cold! We all had to wear jackets and hoodies.

Jenny=)
Rocking this way... and that way...

I hope you enjoyed the ride!
Let me know which was your favorite.
